Delete Your Account

You can delete your Sonilo account and the personal data attached to it at any time, for free. Do it in the Sonilo app, or email us if you cannot get into the app.

Delete your account from the Sonilo app

  1. Open the Sonilo app and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm when prompted.

You are signed out on every device as soon as the request goes through.

Please note that deleting your account does not refund payments that have already been processed, and it does not end a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play.

If you cannot use the app

Email privacy@sonilo.com from the address on your Sonilo account and ask us to delete it. You do not need to install the app or sign in to make this request. We will confirm by email once the deletion has been started.

The 30-day cooling-off period

Deleting your account starts a 30-day cooling-off period. During that time your account is locked and nothing is erased yet: if you change your mind, sign back in with the same account and you can restore it yourself. After 30 days the deletion becomes permanent and cannot be undone.

Cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription

If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your Sonilo account does not cancel that subscription. Only the store account holder can cancel it, so you must do this yourself or you will continue to be charged:

What is deleted, and what we keep

When the cooling-off period ends we permanently delete your sign-in identity, your account details, and everything you generated, uploaded or shared through Sonilo, including the stored files behind it. Your customer record is removed from our payment processor.

We keep invoices and charges where tax, accounting and fraud-prevention law requires, and a record with your personal details stripped out so that our historical totals stay correct. Neither one is attached to an account anybody can sign in to. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy set out in full how we store, transfer and retain information.
