Clean the voice, keep the take
Background noise is everything behind the voice: a street, an air conditioner, a fan, a crowd, a hum from a cable. Sonilo runs a speech enhancement model over your file, keeps the speech and removes the rest, then lets you set how much of the background comes back with the Strength slider. Music in the file counts as noise, so it goes too; to keep the music and only change its level, use Adjust Background Music Volume instead. Video comes back as an MP4 with the picture kept as is for most videos, audio as an MP3.

How do I remove background noise from a video or audio file?+
Upload the file on this page and sign up when asked. Sonilo removes the background noise, usually in under a minute, and plays the result next to the original. Set Strength, create the MP4 or MP3, then download it.
Is this background noise remover free?+
Yes, within limits. Sign up free and you get 3 cleaned downloads a month for files up to 3 minutes, and up to 10 files a day. Each job counts once: new strengths and its separate tracks download free after the first. Creator, Pro and Premium download without a monthly limit; Pro takes files up to 8 minutes and Premium up to 30.
What kinds of background noise does it remove?+
Sound behind a voice: traffic, wind, fans and air conditioning, electrical hum and hiss, crowd chatter, keyboard clicks and barking. It works best when the voice is louder than the noise. It does not remove echo or room reverb, and it cannot bring back words the noise covered completely.
Will it also remove the music in my clip?+
Yes. The model keeps speech and treats everything else as noise, music included. To keep the music and set it under the voice, use Adjust Background Music Volume; to take the music out and keep the voice, use Remove Background Music.
