Fix the sound without touching the picture
Most noisy videos are fine to look at and hard to listen to. Sonilo replaces only the audio track. For H.264, HEVC and AV1 video (most phone and editor exports) the picture is copied without encoding it again, so resolution, frame rate, color and length stay exactly as you shot them. The voice is cleaned by a speech enhancement model, and the Strength slider decides how much of the original background stays under it. If the clip has music you want to keep, this is the wrong tool: music is removed with the noise, so use Adjust Background Music Volume instead.

Before you begin
How do I remove background noise from a video?+
Upload the MP4, MOV or M4V above and sign up when asked. When the cleaned voice is ready, play Result and Original to compare, set Strength, then create and download the MP4. The job also appears in your Library.
Does removing the noise change my video quality?+
Not for most videos. For H.264, HEVC and AV1 video (most phone and editor exports) the picture is copied without encoding it again, so resolution, frame rate and length stay the same. Other formats, such as ProRes, are encoded again as H.264 at high quality. Only the audio track is replaced with the cleaned one.
Can I remove background noise from a video on my phone?+
Yes. The page works in Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. Choose a video from your camera roll, preview the result in the browser and download the MP4 back to your phone.
How is this different from Enhance Speech in Premiere Pro or Adobe Podcast?+
Those tools also clean dialogue. Premiere Pro does it inside your editing timeline, and Adobe Podcast is a separate web app. Sonilo takes a finished video, cleans its sound in the browser and gives the MP4 back with the picture untouched, so there is no audio to export and put back.
