Karaoke and sing along
Take the lead vocal out of a song and sing over the original instrumental.
Remove vocals
Upload a song or a video. Sonilo splits it into an instrumental and a vocal track you can play, mix and download.
What you get
Older vocal removers cancel whatever sits in the middle of the stereo mix, which takes out bass and drums along with the voice and leaves a hollow sound. Sonilo uses a neural network instead: it listens to the whole song and rebuilds each source on its own, so the instrumental keeps its low end and stereo width.
You get two tracks. The instrumental is everything except the voice: drums, bass, guitars, keys and the rest. The vocal track is the singing on its own, lead and backing together.

Play or record your part over the band without the singer in the way.
Start a remix from the instrumental, and keep the vocal track for later.

FAQ
Splitting and listening are free with a Sonilo account: up to 10 files a day, each up to 10 minutes long. Downloading the separated tracks needs any paid plan.
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC and OGG audio, or MP4, MOV and M4V video. A video works the same way as a song: its sound is split and the two tracks come back as audio.
Sonilo separates with an AI model that runs on our own servers. Clear studio mixes separate best. Heavy reverb, stacked harmonies and live recordings can leave a faint trace of the other track, so listen to the tracks before you download.
A few minutes for a typical song. Longer files take longer, and the page shows progress while it works. You can leave the page; the result waits in your Library.
Yes. Upload the MP4, MOV or M4V and you get its instrumental and vocals as audio. To keep the picture and only take the music out, use Remove Background Music from Video instead.
Separating a song does not change who owns it. The instrumental and the vocals are still the original recording, so use them only where you have the rights to. For original music made for your own videos, generate it with Sonilo.
A separated song still belongs to its artist. Sonilo writes original music to fit your video, with a commercial license on Pro and above.
