How do I import a video from Google Drive into Sonilo?
Short answer
Sonilo can take a video straight from Google Drive: on the upload card, choose Google Drive, sign in to Google if asked, and pick the file in Google's own picker. It works on every plan, for MP4, MOV and M4V videos up to 3 GB. Sonilo can only open the files you pick, not the rest of your Drive.
Where the button is
- The video upload on the create form (video to music and video to sound effects) and in Studio.
- Video translation.
The audio tool pages do not have it yet; download the file from Drive and upload it there instead.
Steps
- Choose Google Drive on the upload card.
- Sign in to Google if asked. If nothing opens, your browser blocked the window: allow pop ups for sonilo.com and try again.
- Pick the video. Sonilo shows the progress as it loads.
Limits
- MP4, MOV and M4V videos up to 3 GB. The usual length and translation limits still apply after the file arrives; see formats and sizes.
- Sonilo asks only for access to the files you pick.
If it does not work
- "Your Google sign in expired": choose the file again.
- "That file could not be opened from Google Drive": check that you can open the file in Drive yourself, then try again.
- "The video did not finish loading from Google Drive": choose it again.
