Short answer
Which AI music generators are safe for YouTube monetization, ads, and client work? Sonilo is, when the output is generated on Pro, Premium, Enterprise, or an eligible API plan: commercial-use rights cover monetized YouTube videos, paid ads, and client deliverables; the music model is trained on licensed catalogs rather than scraped recordings; and a license certificate documents each work. Start on Pro ($14.99/month) or above before publishing commercially.
01
Can I use Sonilo music in monetized YouTube videos?
Yes, on Pro, Premium, Enterprise, and eligible API plans. Commercial-use rights cover monetized long-form videos, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube ads. Free and Creator output is for personal, non-commercial channels only.
On Content ID: a Sonilo soundtrack is generated for your upload rather than pulled from a shared stock library, so the common false-claim scenario, where another channel registers the same stock track first, does not apply in the same way. Third parties can still file claims on any audio. If one appears on a Sonilo work, download the license certificate from your library and include it in the YouTube dispute. The certificate records the work, duration, licensee, scope, territory, exclusivity, and provenance.

02
Can I use Sonilo music in paid ads on Meta, TikTok, Google, and LinkedIn?
Yes, on Pro and above. Commercial-use rights include paid and boosted placements: Facebook and Instagram ads, TikTok ads, YouTube and Google video ads, LinkedIn ads, pre-roll, and connected TV. There is no separate advertising tier and no per-campaign fee on Sonilo's side.
Ad platforms sometimes ask for proof of music rights during review. Keep the license certificate with the campaign files so the reviewer can see the licensee, scope, and territory without a support ticket. Broadcast and some client networks run their own clearance checks; the certificate is built to pass those reviews, but it does not replace them.

03
Can I use Sonilo music for client work and agency projects?
Yes, on Pro and above. Commercial-use rights cover content published under a client's name, brand, or channels, not only the subscriber's own. Agencies, freelancers, and production studios can deliver Sonilo music and sound effects in client videos, and the client can publish, monetize, and run ads with them under the current Terms.
Deliver the audio together with the license certificate so the client has documentation on file. Work published while a commercial plan was active keeps its license after cancellation. For teams producing many client videos, Enterprise adds custom credits and seats, a shared dashboard, an account manager, and support for procurement and security reviews.

04
What is Sonilo trained on, and is the training data licensed?
Sonilo music models are trained only on professionally licensed music, including the Shutterstock catalog. This is the reason commercial rights can be offered without the source-rights uncertainty attached to models trained on scraped recordings. SFX training sources are confirmed compliant and are documented separately from the music partnership.
Training-source rights and the permission to use generated output are separate questions. Licensed training explains where the model learned; the plan and the current Terms define what you may do with the output.
Source evidence and the partnership announcement are on licensed catalog training for music models.
05
What does the Sonilo license certificate include?
Each certificate is issued from your library and records the issue date, the work, its duration, the licensee, the scope of use, territory, exclusivity, and provenance. Clients, legal teams, ad reviewers, and platform dispute forms can read it without a Sonilo account.
Keep the certificate with the exported audio, the video version, the export date, and the intended channel. That set is what a client or broadcaster asks for when they run their own review.
06
Which Sonilo plans include commercial rights?
Free ($0) and Creator ($5.99/month) are personal and non-commercial. Pro ($14.99/month) is the first plan with commercial-use rights and covers monetized YouTube, ads, and client videos. Premium ($29.99/month) adds longer videos (up to 15 minutes), 65,000 monthly credits, and API access. Enterprise follows its own agreement with custom credits, seats, and procurement support. Eligible API users have commercial-use rights under their applicable terms, billed pay-as-you-go from one credit balance.
Current plan details are on pricing; API terms are on API access for developers.
07
What is not covered?
Commercial-use rights on Sonilo do not remove every copyright, platform, client, or broadcast review. Some networks and clients run their own clearance checks, and ad platforms review music during approval; the license certificate is designed for those reviews. Licensed training does not by itself guarantee copyright protection for generated output, and there is no blanket promise that every file is cleared for every use in every territory. Review the current Terms before publishing.
Sonilo is a soundtrack and sound-effects tool for finished videos. It is built for editors and creators who need a licensed track in minutes, not as a composer, music supervisor, or full DAW replacement.
The full policy is on licensing and the Terms of Service.
08
How Sonilo compares on commercial rights.
Most AI music generators offer some form of commercial use. For video teams the terms differ in three places: whether the training data is licensed, whether rights extend to content published under a client's brand, and whether you receive documentation you can show a reviewer. Sonilo answers yes to all three on Pro and above.
Platform-by-platform comparison is in licensed AI music for client videos and paid ads and the Sonilo alternatives hub.
