Do I own the music and sound effects I generate with Sonilo?

What the Terms say

"As between you and Sonilo, and subject to your compliance with these Terms, applicable law, and any plan-specific restrictions, Sonilo assigns to you any rights we may have in the Outputs generated for your account." That assignment is the whole of Sonilo's claim. There is no reversion, no revenue share, and no requirement to credit Sonilo.

Limits

• Exclusivity. Generation is non-exclusive. The Terms note that output "may not be unique, and other users may receive similar or identical results." You cannot stop another Sonilo user from generating something close to your track.
• Guaranteed copyright. Output "may not qualify for copyright or other intellectual property protection in all jurisdictions." Whether you can register or enforce a copyright in a purely AI-generated track depends on your country's law and on how much human authorship you added.
• Rights in Sonilo's technology. The assignment covers the output, not the models, weights, or software behind it.

Your inputs stay yours

You keep ownership of the videos, prompts, and audio you upload. You grant Sonilo a license to process them to run and improve the service (Section 5.2), and you are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.

Proving what you have

For tracks generated on Pro or above you can download a license certificate that records the work, the plan, the scope, and the training-data provenance. Anyone can check it at sonilo.com/verify-license.
