Licensing FAQ
Is Sonilo music royalty-free?
Short answer
Yes. Sonilo charges by generation through plan credits and takes nothing afterwards: no per-use fees, no royalties on views, sales, or broadcasts, and no attribution requirement. The license is worldwide.
What you pay
Credits, once, when you generate: 18 credits per output second for video-to-music and video-to-SFX, 5 for text-to-music, 4 for text-to-SFX, with a 15-second billing minimum and a 200-credit floor per generation. Plans start at $5.99 per month (personal use) and $14.99 per month (commercial use). Nothing is owed afterwards no matter how widely the video is seen.
Limits
- Royalty-free is not the public domain. The audio is licensed to you under your plan, not released for anyone to use.
- The plan-based commercial rule still applies. Royalty-free personal-use output on Free and Creator is still personal-use output.
- The license is non-exclusive. Other users can generate similar audio.
- The plan license is for using the audio in your own videos, products, and deliverables. If you want to resell raw generations as a catalog or sample pack, ask sales first.
- Platform rules, broadcaster clearances, and client contracts are yours to satisfy.
The free sound-effects library is separate
Files in the royalty-free sound effects library are downloadable without an account and are cleared for personal and commercial projects with no attribution, on every plan. That library has its own license: you may use the files in your projects, but you may not resell or redistribute them as files.

Make something you can publish
Commercial rights start on Pro at $14.99 per month. Every generation on Pro and above comes with a certificate your client or platform can verify.
