Sonilo x TapNow at Venice Film Festival 2026

Licensing FAQ

Can I edit, remix, loop, or use Sonilo output in games, apps, and broadcast?

Short answer

Yes. You are free to trim, loop, pitch, layer, and combine generated music and sound effects with your own material, and to use the result in games, mobile apps, websites, TV, and broadcast productions. Commercial products of any of those kinds need output generated on Pro, Premium, or Enterprise; personal, non-commercial projects can use Free or Creator output.

Editing and derivatives

The assignment of rights in Section 6.1 covers the output as generated and whatever you make from it. Sonilo does not require you to keep a track intact, credit Sonilo, or clear edits.

Games and apps

Embedding audio in a shipped game or app is commercial use when the product is sold, ad-supported, or otherwise monetized. Generate on Pro or above and keep the certificate with the build's asset records. For a game engine pipeline, see the Godot plugin and Roblox asset posts on the blog, or use the API directly.

Broadcast

Television and broadcast use is included in the commercial scope. Broadcasters and networks often have their own clearance forms; the certificate gives them the licensor, licensee, scope, territory (worldwide), and exclusivity (non-exclusive) in one place.

Limits

  • The plan license covers audio used inside your own projects and deliverables; reselling raw generations as a stock library or sample pack is a sales conversation, not a plan feature.
  • Exclusivity is not available on standard plans.
  • You remain responsible for clearing any third-party material in your inputs and for platform, broadcaster, and client requirements (Section 6.2 of the Terms).

Make something you can publish

Commercial rights start on Pro at $14.99 per month. Every generation on Pro and above comes with a certificate your client or platform can verify.
