Can I use the free Sonilo sound effects library commercially?
Short answer
Only with a Pro ($14.99 per month) or Premium plan. Every file in Sonilo's royalty-free sound effects library is free to download and use in personal, non-commercial projects, with no account, no attribution, and no royalties. Commercial use, such as monetized videos, ads, client work, and apps, and distributing the files need Pro or Premium. On any plan, you may not resell or redistribute the files themselves as a stock library.
Free for personal use
Download any file from the royalty-free sound effects library as MP3 or WAV, without an account, and use it in a personal, non-commercial project with no credit required.
Pro or Premium for commercial use
- Monetized videos, ads, sponsored posts, and client work
- Apps and other commercial products
- Distributing the files
If you are signed in on Free or Creator, Sonilo reminds you after a download that commercial use needs Pro or Premium.
What no plan allows
Reselling or redistributing the library files themselves as a stock library.
Library files and generated sound effects
Sound effects you generate yourself with text-to-sound-effects or video-to-sound-effects follow the plan rules for generated audio instead. See whether sound effects have the same license as music.
